Someday we will see the “why”

Why does God allow suffering? Certainly He could have created everyone to be good and moral and kind. But doing so would mean humans would have no free will or independent spirits. If people are allowed choices, there will always be consequences. And humans don’t like to feel conformed to or constrained by another. In choosing to reject God, the consequences must be paid—and very often suffering is the result.

However, we are not without hope.

“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:6-9‬ ‭

For Jesus followers, this present suffering will end and the glory of eternity will wipe away the memory of this world’s pain.
